As humanity moves in the direction of maximum efficiency and productivity, the intuitiveness of child-like play will be gradually erased from adults’ being. Play that is solely meant to engage our imagination, truly void of purpose and ulterior motives will disappear. The vibrance and innocent nature of this type of play are key in breaking the tunnel visioned goal of achieving so-called success. “Replay” proposes a future where there is a getaway designed to reintegrate play as one of the necessities of adult life, promoting the need for wonder-filled play in the world. Contrary to the formulic schedules prescribed for adults’ day to day, the rules of play are not so much enforced as they are encouraged to be developed and explored by the residents themselves. Perhaps some resting stools can also serve as platforms to jump to and fro? The visitors re engage in their tactile senses as they navigate through the immersive environment of play in “Replay.”
