Located off of the West Toronto Rail path at the intersection of Dupont St. and Osler St., “Sprout” is a library focused on children’s education. Incorporating the circulation off of the West Toronto Rail Path, the library is organized such that visitors looking to use the space for more conventional library uses and visitors using the space more for children and community orientated events are split among the two floors while the atrium on the first floor highlights the children’s space.

Another priority of the space is the community garden integrated with the ramps providing an accessible path down from the walking trail above. The garden is an initiative to help teach children about growing and eating locally as green spaces are limited in the downtown area. The large timber structures of the space are intended to draw the visitors eyes to the height of the space and outwards at the garden feature.
